Hi! I took the spanish exemption exam a few months ago. So the first step was to take the online placement one which was all multiple choice and not too difficult. I then qualified for the in-person exemption exam. For context, I took 5 years of spanish in high school.
Theoretically, I believe you could just enroll in the third level (French 3/Spanish 3 etc) and if you pass that your language requirement is fulfilled. You can try your luck and take a Placement Exam and hope you test into level 4 or 5 in that language. That will clear you of the requirement immediately.
