To stay 15 days on St John would be my choice. 2/3rds of the island is National Park and with 33 bays and numerous hiking trails to explore you will not run out 8f things to do. August you will have very calm seas is no storms are in region (get travel insurance this is hurricane season and villas will not refund you).

Save. St. John Hardware (up past Starfish parking lot) sometimes has them. They are a hot commodity and usually run out fast. If you buy they will probably cost you at least $50 per chair.
