Now I was considering the Cabelas Carnivore .5 meat grinder but then I read the reviews. To many negatives to buy. I read the LEM dual grind as well as the MEAT dual grinder. I am leaning towards the LEM but I want to make sure I make the right purchase. I would like to hear your thoughts on the dual grinder if you have it.

I got the “cabelas heavy duty meat grinder” about a week ago. Not a huge fan of it. A lot of the parts like the cutting wheel and grates aren’t dish washer safe and can rust. The grinder does grind meat very well but using it as a stuffer is kind of a joke. I grew up with a grinder from a grocery store and later an LEM #22 (equivalent to the Cabelas 1 HP). Those will grind meat as fast as you can stuff it down the tube. The #8 is fine for the grinding, but I do use the grinder to stuff sausages and the smaller grinder is very slow compared to the larger grinder for this purpose.Product Description. On the first grind a grinder will grab a solid piece of meat and pull it in. The harder part is the second grind. When you have to get that first grind meat back down the throat tube.
