Sp20 wads.

For straight walled Federal hulls I've used Green Dot and the RP20 wad with good results for skeet and light field loads. For heavier loads I've used Blue Dot, SP20 wad with 1 1/8oz of #5 & #6 shot for pheasant. I'm planning to load for skeet and sporting clays using 7/8oz in Remington STS hulls. The "S" designation was added later when they stitched the petals together. The RXP 20 is 1.585" long with a shot cup depth of .890" = 7/8 oz. For 2 3/4" non toxic 20 ga loads, the straight walled hulls are the best. Fiocchi, Cheddite, Rio, Federal. You can get away with Bismuth in the Rem and Win hulls with the right powder and wads. I personally just shoot 3/4 oz steel in 2 3/4" hulls but that takes Steel powder to get the speed needed.

Down range makes no wad specificlly for 1 oz. loads, but their short DRV wad, coupled with the longer STS case, just might let you load 1 oz. loads. DLM
