So i went to the Secret Base in Rosewood and i can't seem to find any good items. i Seem to have explored it all and i only found some military clothes and that's it. i play on Normal amount of zombies so there weren't many but i want the Military backpack and stuff, can i not get it? also is there some other place i could look in to find the Military stuff?

Secret military base is pretty pointless to go to. Nothing but swarms of zombies and broken hopes. Found some guns and military gear but that's about it. Piss poor, yea sure there are some weapons but nothing compared to the gun shop. The best stuff is the military clothing/backpack (and helmet) cause of the extra protection and carry weight. Now I didn't stay long enough to make a base but food isn't really there unless you clear out the dense forest and start a farm.
