Sailor Moon Crystal: Naru & Umino. I don’t know if it’s just me, but one of my biggest problems with Crystal isn’t the animation or manga structure, but rather the mistreatment of the characters outside of the senshi. I watched the “New” movies on Netflix and as I was watching I was like “damn, where’s Naru and Umino”.However, I'd recommend reading the manga before watching Crystal. The original has a special place in my heart, due to nostalgia and it being my gateway to Sailor Moon. It definitely has better characterization and storytelling than the manga.
