The 795 is a great vehicle for appleseed. Just because lots of people get sucked into 10/22s for the aftermarket parts doesn't mean its a better rifle. The 795 is easily more accurate out of the box than a 10/22, cost less, and is a heck of a lot of fun to shoot. I have a Skinner barrel mounted peep on the 60 and tech sights on the 795. I would take the 795 every time. Glenfield Model 60, 795, 915y.

The 60 and 795 use the same semi-auto action. The 60 has a longer barrel, a tube feed magazine, is more accurate beyond about 50 yds, and is a bit heavier.
