the general start for a lectron needle is 51.8 from the base to the tip your at 52 and change so its still lean imo hunting idle is lean and you have to run them pig fat on the bottom to get the hit since they dont have an ap its a 2 circuit carb its not going to idle like a sewing machine we idle them at around 2500 sometimes higher

It went pretty well. The only issue was that the idle was set quite high from the factory so it wouldn’t start with the 1/4 turn of throttle as instructed. I’ve adjusted it down and it seems to be fine. First ride tomorrow. I bought it used and put a 4-2m metering rod in it which was recommended. I have spent alot of time tuning the carb to get rid of a bad midrange bog. Right now it runs great in the low end. Crisp and responsive off the bottom with consistent idle. It also runs good up top.
