t4terrific. If you carry IWB, the 30 is doable, but not as comfortable as the 27. The 30s would be a little more comfortable to carry, but not as comfortable to shoot. There is no really clear answer when it comes to carry pistols. Everything has trade-offs. when it comes to carry pistols.
According to Glock the 30S was designed for the LAPD's SIS and my understanding is they use 230 grain +P HST's in all their 45s. It would make sense to me to run the same ammo. Plus I like Federal HST ammo it is proven in testing and on the street. It is my understanding that the Gen 4 models without any backstrap installed has the same reach as the SF frames. I like the 30s and find it to be a great carry gun.
