The problem with only one bottle is the increased amount of fluid the Dana 70 and 80s have over the 60. Seen enough of the 70s eat up the clutches by not adding enough slip lube. When I service any 70 or 80 min amount is 1 1/2 bottles in the 70 and 2 in the 80.It had auto trans fluid in it. I didn't think it was unusual because the suburban runs with that. What I learned from all the helpful folks is the D 300 is a gear driven design and uses gear oil (85w90).Suburban is chain driven and uses dextron. I just use the 80w90 from walmart. The transmission however takes a GL4 rated gear oil or synchromesh fluid. A gl5 rated oil has too much sulfur in it which affects the synchromesh parts. Mike.
