i could recommend better units in general but i don't think there is a magic pill for careless players. sturgian infantry is the strongest btw, probably the only troop tree which i wouldn't consider just a meatwall to cover rangeds. strugia's cav isn't the best though and their archers are relatively bad. #8.Bannerlord's armor is more early medieval than late, but it's still silly that tier 5 infantry with armor all over the place gets dropped with an average of 3-4 arrow hits. Archers and horse archers good enough that they tend to get nerfed whenever troops are rebalanced. Heavy infantry that doubles as skirmishers. Solid shock infantry. Horse archers that can handle melee. Fastest melee cav (which means that enemy horse archers can't get away) carrying best javs (which can shred enemy cav before actual melee).
