Vortex has worked very well for me, both with Fallout 4 and Skyrim. Mods from Nexus as well as Mods from Files have all installed well and I really like the details. If you are using Vortex: - Purge all mods - turn it off (it will cry if you don't) - keep it off until you have a working game. Do not hit deploy. Do not launch the game via Vortex.
