Gen 7 was also somehow the easiest gen to fit heat on; you never felt restricted in terms of team building because so much was viable. Clefable is just insanely versatile, and probably the single most splashable mon in the game. Magic guard clefable can be a status absorber, life orb user, calm mind win condition or stealth rock lead.
