The coax run is a straight run from the basement to the office upstairs. The Verizon ONT is one of the newer models that supports 1 Gbps over the LAN adapter, but the MOCA is limited to 100/100. If the ONT's fail light is on, there are only two things you can DIY. 1st is the reset button, the other is to unplug the power supply from the wall for a little while, then plug it back in. If the red light stays on after a power-cycle, there is a problem with the ONT that only a Verizon technician can address.
