Kirkland 22 year sherry cask finish. Aged 22 years in ex bourbon and finished 6 months in sherry. $80 At Costco. Abv: 46%. Color: dark brownish red. Nose: banana’s foster, maple syrup, leather, dark fruits. Very nice. Palate: dried figs, rum raisin, leather, sherry, dark fruit, sweet oak. Delicious.Taste: soft, rum raisin, figs, brown sugar. Slight oak and cherry. I thought there’d be more depth for a 24 yr. Finish: some heat but still smooth , medium length, slight wood varnish, chocolate pop tart. This is very solid especially considering the price for a 24 year. ($80) Very smooth with a solid taste profile.
