If u have a 100 series small tire (6" rim 13" tire) with a 212cc left bone stock with a torque converter on it and run a 10/ 50-55 gear ratio, u would get somewhere in the 27-35 mph range. And if hills are what u r wanting to ride and still have a desent top ened then a torque converter is what u want.Fuel pumps aren't needed unless the fuel isn't gravity feeding, which it is in OP's case. If you aren't flowing fast enough and draining the bowl they can be needed as well (my friend ran into that issue with his 236 stroker). 212 Predator idle jet. I was cleaning the idle jet diameter with some micro drills and it got caught and broke off. I feel like a moron. I know better than to force this kind of thing. Stock Predator engines (all of them) top out at ~3600 RPMs. Removing the governor on a 212 will allow it to rev till it hits valve float which is ~5500 RPMs. That is a huge difference! It is the single best upgrade you can do to a go kart. If you update the carb and exhaust you will be able to hit your max RPM faster.

Had to move the motor forward about an inch to clear the valve cover. Little tweaking on steering arm and she is up and running w/ a straight pipe for now. Very noisy.

The stock carburetors on a predator 212 or Honda GX160 or any other smaller engines are designed for the stock engine which has a governor to limit the rpm to around 3600. If you remove the governor or make other adjustments to increase rpm then you will need to get a Mikuni or a Mikuni clone carburetor to get more power out of the engine.Doesn't fit a stock Predator motor.
