Sheer Force was the best choice in 5th Gen, but has fallen out of favor for two reasons: Knock Off and the Assault Vest. These new tools favor a Guts set over a Life Orb Sheer Force set because Sheer Force doesn't boost Knock Off, and Guts works better with an Assault Vest to turn you into an all around hit-taking status-eating machine.
