Difference between glock 30 and 30s.
Depending on the size of your hand, one or the other may be more comfortable to grip and to shoot. Most feel that the 36 has more perceived recoil due to slimmer grip and slightly less weight than the 30S; I do not find much difference, but I am not very sensitive to recoil. Both are excellent guns. Like.

All were new in the box, were blue labels and were priced exactly the same.This allowed those that liked the heft of the 30, but with smaller hands, to have the ability to get a better grip and trigger reach. The 30S is a 36 slide on the SF frame. It is lighter than the 30/30SF so you can carry it easier but you may feel more recoil due to the lighter slide. The recoil is manageable.

The Glock 30 SF is a short frame, to where they made the grip more the size on the 9MM/.40 so it feels better in most hands and does not print as much (Bobtail 1911ish). When I got my 30S I posted a side by side size comparison (dunno if it was in this forum or another) with the 30s with the 9rd mag and the 10rd mag compared to my G26 and G19. The difference with the 9rd mag is incredible. It's only roughly 3cm taller than the G26 (eyeing it not actually measured).
