Yes, the oil is being sucked into the exhaust when running. As the exhaust is blown through the exhaust port it creates a small vacuum on the valve guide area.

Ok, first locate the diff on the rear axle. Now looking at the rear diff from the right hand side. There should be 3 bolts holding a rear gear case cover on, remove those first to access the lower part of the diff.
