I made like 40 iron (on spawn chunk btw) and then I walked to my home assuming since on spawn chunk it would continue to work, after about 2 hours I come back and it is stalled at 52 iron. The ONLY thing you can do is break the beds and put them back to reset the POI and allow villagers to reclaim the bed. This is not quite so big a deal in breeders, but it *kills* iron farms. Hopefully this is resolved in 1.15. I do not have a link to the bug report.

I figured out a way to fix this problem in my iron farms, by building a 3x2 wall between villager and zombie, top left and right of 2x3 wall is top slabs, middle is empty, bottom 3 are solid, this way when the villagers go from bed to composters, the top slabs break line of sight temporarily, which allows a brief window for the villagers to sleep every so often …
