I can't remember if it was on this forum or another that gave me the idea, but another solution for the infamous magazine drop problem was the replace the M9 magazine release spring with a 1911 mag release spring. Not to worry. If you wiggle the barrel kinda push it in and out while lining the slide up and push the slide stop pin out. It may take a bit of fanangaling but it will come apart. Before you take it back, give it a thorough cleaning, lightly lubricate with Shooter’s Choice FP-10, put a couple of hundred rounds through it and then decide if you got a lemon.
