The train ride up to the summit is spectacular in terms of views and engineering. The whole operation has been updated and re-opened I think in 2021 with modern carriages and brand new track which makes for a comfortable ride. The views from the three seat side are slightly better but the views from either side are incredible. My advice is to go down Manitou Ave. until you find the funny sounding Smischny Lot at $10 for six hrs. The other lots are very expensive.
