Parts : ATF Type T-IV - $4.83 at the dealership. Drain Plug Gasket (Washer) - $1.50 at the dealership (picture of the used one) 1. Locate the Transmission Drain Plug, right underneat the auto trans oil pan. It is at the opposite side of the Engine Oil drain plug. 2. Removed the drain plug with the Hex wrench. I see them for all the old Toyotas pre-1998 but don't see any for Scion. I tried using Redline MT-90 to clear up 3rd gear being hard to engage and a 5th gear grinding without any relief at all.

Yes you can probably bolt the 5-speed auto tranny from the Camry to the Scion's engine but you will have to swap the ECU from the Camry as well as the Scion ECU is not designed for a 5-speed auto, just the 4-speed. It turns out that when they changed the scion Tc wheel pattern from 5x100 to 5x114.3 they also increased the hub center as well to 60.1mm.
