First dyno of the bmw 340i since we are going to turn things up and start modding the car after i get some parts in.A custom tune could add maybe 10-20whp and some tq, 20-30hp if you wanted to be really optimistic. Some more weight could be removed, but we're talking small gains here. To pull off a 9 second 1/4 mile on the stock turbo with nitrous is easier than a 10.2 stock turbo/boost only.
That's just waste of money, get something with a N55/B58, use the money from S55 engine swap into modding these and they will make S55 cars their bitch. Install is around 1-2k so 6k or so which is the cost of you swapping an entire different motor into the car without the headaches. Ghassen makes them as crate motors well as miami engines in Florida. FWIW my 2013 328i xdrive blew the motor and the replacement motor is a 2018. It’s essentially the 330 motor.
93 octane: 400-420whp. Race gas: 410-430whp. E30: 420-440whp. Bm3 B58 stage 2 tunes come in with horsepower around 390-440whp. Again, expect higher boost targets and power on better fuels. Again, we highly recommend opting for a catless DP with this stage.
