Jan 20, 2019 · Maybe it'll smooth out with some use. I have a 22/45 but I prefer the GSG 1911-22 that I chose rather than the Firefly. The 22/45 is more prone to FTF when it gets dirty than the 1911-22. Also, the GSG 1911-22 is cheaper and looks like a normal 1911 while the 22/45 looks like Ruger product (which I like). With a look feel and operation that will familiarize new shooters and impress seasoned shooters. It's a .22 LR pistol with a recessed 4″ threaded barrel that includes the thread protector. The GSG Firefly has alloy frame black polymer grips, manual thumb safety, 3 dot sights and a 10 round magazine.My GSG will not fire. The other day I completely stripped my GSG 1911 to do a thorough cleaning and lubing, including taking the firing pin assembly out of the slide. I sanded the slide grooves with fine sand paper to get the slide action smoother as suggested in several Youtube videos on 'tuning' this gun.All GSG/Sig 1911s have series 80 safeties. Therefore there is only one firing pin option. The only way you could have one of these guns with out it is to remove the series 80 parts and replace with the correct shim. The pin is coming from ATI for the GSG 1911-22. I'll make sure it is the right one.
