I've always used the Lake of Shadows cheese spot for the boss since I only play Nightfalls solo. I've never really had any trouble, I farmed it a ton last season when it was double rewards. But this week I'm having way more trouble with the Taken Knight fire grenades, like it seems they're always hitting me no matter where I am on the platform.
The difficulty leading up the boss encounter is a great improvement. The boss encounter itself didn't need to spike all the way to Grandmaster level 5000.
