Valve adjustment has nothing to do with spool valve labor, as you do not remove the valve covers when replacing just the top half of the spool valve. I suggest you find new mechanics, get a Denso alternator installed, muzzle your VCM, install the spool valve.Open the hood and inspected the area. Sure enough the alternator is off center/tilted.
