Feb 16, 2020 · Someone suggested buying the Mopar 02 sensor instead of an off-brand, so I got one and installed it. The P0138 code came back almost immediately. Same location, bank 1 sensor 2. So, bank 1 should be driver's side exhaust, however the down pipe connects to the right side down pipe and runs into one cat. The P0138 is a fairly straight forward code pointing to a failed oxygen sensor. It's actually a very common fail item. When this sensor is faulty, you very well may notice your MPG's have decreased and yet not have any performance issues. You only need to replace the effected sensor. No need to replace them all.
