I'm with Bond-o. I've had it happen to me on two different boats, one Alpha and a Bravo. Coupler slips, then nothing at all. I had to be towed 62 miles off of Lake Powell with one of them. Little to no warning of a problem, both boats had about 600 hours on them. Both of them required pulling the motor to change.
